Rules that keep the space clinical
Patient privacy comes first
Never post names, medical record numbers, dates of birth, scan dates, or facility names. Unscrubbed images are deleted and the account is permanently banned.
Scrub every scan
Crop or black out identifiers on ultrasound images, clips, and loops before you post.
Professional decorum
Treat colleagues, students, and mentors with respect. Toxicity is not tolerated.
Channel discipline
Echo questions in #echo-lab. Vascular questions in #vascular-lab. Long cases in threads.
No self-promo
Unsolicited advertising and personal product links need admin approval.
Recruiter lane
Jobs stay in #recruiter-postings. Cold DMs with job offers are forbidden.

Amani built Sonolinked in Southwest Florida after high-acuity echo and vascular work at University of Florida Shands and on travel assignments. Students needed mentors. Working techs needed a private room for cases. Recruiters needed a place to hire without cold DMs.

Yes. We are based in Southwest Florida, including Port Charlotte, North Port, Venice, Englewood, and Arcadia. The Discord is open to sonographers and students across Florida and nationwide.
Is the Sonolinked Discord server free to enter?
Yes, the public invite lets you enter the server, view welcome announcements, and read the rules. Access to clinical channels, labs, case archives, and live training requires a paid membership.
Which membership should I choose?
Sonographers, imaging techs, and students should choose Clinical Membership for cases, labs, and training. Recruiters and staffing managers should choose Recruiter Membership to post roles and connect with credentialed talent.
How do recruiters hire sonographers here?
Recruiter Membership lets you post verified ultrasound jobs in the designated channel and connect with RDCS, RVT, and RDMS professionals and students. Cold DMs are not allowed.
How do I unlock access after completing my payment?
Once Stripe payment is complete, follow the activation instructions inside Discord to bind your subscription, introduce yourself, and unlock the specialized labs.
What are the rules regarding posting ultrasound images or clips?
Patient privacy is strictly enforced under HIPAA. All shared ultrasound scans and clips must be fully scrubbed, cropped, or blacked out to remove names, dates of birth, MRNs, facility details, and any identifiable patient data. Unscrubbed images result in an immediate permanent ban.
What happens if I accidentally post an unscrubbed ultrasound image?
Posts containing visible patient identifiers are deleted, and the posting account receives a mandatory permanent ban. Always double-check your crops before uploading.
Are recruiters allowed to send direct messages to server members?
No. Recruiters may post open roles only in the designated recruiter channel. Cold DMing members with job offers is prohibited.
Does Sonolinked provide official medical advice or diagnostic opinions?
No. Sonolinked is an educational and professional development platform. Community discussions, case analyses, and resources do not constitute official medical diagnoses or clinical advice.
